A really nice shot of Mas and I on the trail. Way in the background, in the clearing on the mountainside, is our next destination: "Winaywayna".
|
We have to do what!? Climb up that!? Mas and I make a good hiking pair. Sometimes she got ahead and I had to keep up; sometimes it was the other way around.

It's not the jungle, but the Trail was quite lush. I hear there's even a runner's club that arranges a marathon-style race on the Trail. Wow.

As hard as the Trail got, sights like these kept us going. There's tiny waterfalls throughout. Plus, there are a lot of other folks on the Trail from all over the world. It's cool meeting random folks whilst hiking along.

We get closer and closer to our destination ...
|
... Winaywayna. (Is she a walking ad for "MoFo" or what?)
|
It's not going to be easy getting to the top, though ... here we go.

A perfect rest stop for the ladies.

The homes of the farmers and laborers were constructed using stones with mortar (unlike the non-mortar construction of the sacred sites). You can see the terraces in the background.

Man, what a view ... Lili, Mas and I take in the beautiful mountain scenery.
